Cleone Foods, manufacturer of the leading UK chilled Jamaican pattie brand, Island Delight, will be supporting Bishop Joe Aldred this coming Sunday as he sells fried dumplings and patties at the Church of God of Prophecy, Aberdeen Street, Birmingham between 10.30am – 2.30pm, in support of Cure Leukaemia, BBC WM’s Red Alert Appeal.
Bishop Joe and his co-presenters were tasked with doing something a little zany to raise £100 for Cure Leukaemia, so he decided to sell fried dumplings made to his own secret recipe for which he will sell to 100 people giving £1 or more. Cleone Foods, matching the offer has donated 100 of its Island Delight branded range.
Monica Coke, Sales and Marketing says: “We are delighted to be able to offer our facilities in support of Cure Leukaemia which is a very worthy cause, and we encourage as many other local businesses and people from the community to help contribute and support Bishop Joe and the appeal this coming Sunday.”
Island Delight’s new flaky pattie range adds to the existing Jamaican street food pattie range sold in major retailers which includes ASDA, Tesco and Morrisons. Complementing the dumpling for snacking, Cleone Foods will be running a series of store sampling opportunities, to further extend the Island Delight’s Jamaican Pattie appeal, and encourage discerning consumers to try the warm flavours of the Caribbean.
