A meeting of representatives has taken place at the Birmingham Jewellery Quarter head offices of Cleone Foods Ltd. This is from Birmingham LEP, Birmingham and Leicester Chambers. As well as, the Board Resourcing and Development Office (BRDO) with Business, Innovation and Skills Director General, Tera Allas.
Tera Allas commented:
“It was encouraging to meet representatives from the Leicestershire and Greater Birmingham Local Enterprise Partnerships. And to learn about the issues faced by business and the work that is being done to improve regulation in the region.”
During the short, but fruitful, fact finding visit, the delegates utilised the opportunity to discuss the drivers for regulation work within LEPs, both real and perceived barriers to effective interactions between business and regulators, with Tara focusing on understanding the regulatory aspect of LEP work in Greater Birmingham and Leicestershire. In particular, the drivers for change, the products and delivery of training currently under development by the Greater Birmingham and Solihull Learning and Enterprise Partnership (LEP). In addition, how this will impact and help improve business productivity within the area.
